The CIK-FIA has drawn up new rules relating to the sound emission in the classes KZ1 and KZ2, where with 125cc karts to drive on the turn. The kart circuits can find themselves in this decision. Here the statement that the joint go-kart tracks in Netherlands, Belgium and Germany brought out ë: "If circuits, we welcome this development in sound reduction, because this is in our and your interests, so the circuits can remain open in the future. We want to thank the CIK FIA. The noise reduction has a positive effect on the negotiations with the various municipalities and provinces. "

"We therefore ask to drivers and teams, together with us, the future of karting in Netherlands, Belgium and Germany ë. "At its meeting of 15 June 2012 the FIA World Motor Sport Council validated the proposal of the Members of the International Karting Commission to limit noise to 108 dB … … As this decision is with immediate effect, the next international CIK ‐FIA races will already be concerned. "

Clarity concerns validity helmet inspections

It has come to our attention that among the drivers what is ambiguity concerns the validity of the different helmet tests, hence here a clear overview;

FIA 8860-2004: no end date
Snell SA-2010: no end date
Snell SA-2005: no end date
Snell SA-2000: no longer valid after 31-12-2014
BS6658-85 type A/FR: no longer valid after 12/31/2013

It is therefore a misunderstanding that the Snell SA-2005 inspection only a few years is valid. Having regard to the period of validity of the Snell SA-2000 verification is the Snell SA-2005 inspection presumably valid until 2020.

The above information applies to all regulations the FIA rules.
Some organizations, including DNRT, handling their own rules as regards helmets, at these organizations is no end date for all of the above tests.
At so-called Trackdays where a helmet is required you can also use all of the above tests.
