Cancellation of the homologations No. 16/SA/18 and 19/SA/18
As provided for by the Homologation Regulations, the CIK-FIA regularly proceeds to so-called “post-homologation” checks of equipment by procuring random samples and submitting them to tests in order to ensure that the quality of the equipment concerned remains constant and that the homologation requirements are still respected.
Further to one of these control tests, the inlet silencers NOX 23 and NOX 30 of the make Righetti Ridolfi, respectively homologated in 2010 for a 9-year period under numbers 16/A/18 and 19/SA/18, have been found not to comply as they no longer meet the noise absorption minima defined by the Homologation Regulations. As a consequence, these homologations are cancelled and the will no longer be accepted for events governed by the CIK-FIA regulations.

Duidelijkheid betreft geldigheid helmkeuringen
Het is ons opgevallen dat er onder de coureurs wat onduidelijkheid is betreft de geldigheid van de verschillende helmkeuringen, vandaar hier een duidelijk overzicht;
FIA 8860-2004: geen einddatum bekend
Snell SA-2010: geen einddatum bekend
Snell SA-2005: geen einddatum bekend
Snell SA-2000: niet meer geldig na 31-12-2014
BS6658-85 type A/FR: niet meer geldig na 31-12-2013
Het is dus een misverstand dat de Snell SA-2005 keuring nog maar enkele jaren geldig is. Gezien de geldigheidsduur van de Snell SA-2000 keuring is de Snell SA-2005 keuring vermoedelijk geldig tot 2020.
Bovenstaande informatie geldt voor alle reglementen die de FIA regels hanteren.
Sommige organisaties, waaronder DNRT, hanteren hun eigen regels voor wat betreft helmen, bij deze organisaties is voor alle bovenstaande keuringen geen einddatum bekend.
Bij zogenaamde Trackdays waarbij een helm vereist is kunt u eveneens gebruik maken van alle bovenstaande keuringen.
